FBC Sparta

Nursery & Preschool

We would like to welcome you and your family to our Preschool Ministry at First Baptist Church Sparta. Our ministry looks forward to partnering with you to teach your child. We have teachers who are carefully screened for our classrooms. These teachers invest their love and time in the life of your preschoolers. As partners, the home and church can build spiritual foundations that will last forever.

Each time a preschooler is brought into one of our classrooms, he/she is involved in a well-planned, Christ-centered teaching program taught on his/her level of understanding. A biblical foundation is laid through teaching your child about God, Jesus, the Bible, the church, self, others, family, and the natural world.

Our Preschool classrooms are a lively learning lab, where want these little hearts and minds are being impacted by the Word of God.

The Nursery and Preschool area is available for Sunday School, the Corporate Worship Services and the Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting. We will also make it available during special events.

First-time Guests

We will meet your family and check your child into our system by filling out some paperwork. Once your family is checked in, one of our volunteers will be happy to show you the age-appropriate room we have created for your child.

We will ask for the following personal information: family member’s names, child’s name and birth date, family address, phone number, and any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your child. This is for your child’s safety and for your peace of mind. We don’t take lightly the privilege and responsibility of you trusting us with your child.

You and your child will be given matching identification tags exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion of your matching identification tags which bears a code which is matched to your portion during checkout at the end of the service. During checkout, you will return to the Preschool Wing and show your tag for your child to be released back to you.

On your way home, be sure to ask your child: “Did you have fun?” and “What did you learn today?”

Check-in for returning members and visitors

Your first stop should be at our Check-In Station where you will be able to check your child in for the service that you are attending. Our start stations open 15-20 minutes prior to the start of each service. All you will need to do is to write down your name, your child’s name, emergency contact number and for our quick reference, as your complete information will be under file.

You will receive a set of stickers with a family identification number for you and for your child. Your child will wear the sticker with his or her name. The sticker identical to the one on your child will go to his or her teacher. Please hold on to your portion of the sticker until checkout at the end of the service.
